A MUST VISIT PARK! Bryce Canyon National Park was one of the coolest places I've ever been to. You could spend one day here or three and see a lot no matter what. I opted to only spend one day here, but wish I'd had more time. I drove to visit this park from New Harmony, UT which was about two hours away and in all honesty, when I woke to leave, I had no motivation. Unfortunately, I only had limited weekends and if I didn't go on my planned day I wouldn't go at all so I got myself into gear and hit the road.
I visited Bryce in November and it was COLD. Although I was prepared for this I didn't particularly want to be out and about in it. The day was grey and a little windy but when I drove into the park I let out my first "wow" as orange walls of rock began surrounding me. The change in the landscape was dramatic and incredible, it got me excited for the hike I was about to embark on.
I completed the Wall Street and Queens Garden Loop Trail and, of course, looked out at sunrise point. Overall, it was a light day but I didn't feel particularly called to explore the rocks the way I am to trees so I was satisfied. If I were ever going camping, I think this would be an awesome national park to do it at. All the facilities were really nice and it backs up to Dixie National Forest so there's a lot to see.
